1000$ Build

Hello all, im building a 1000$ build for a friend, and it is for gaming. i dont really have many market preferences, but id prefer amd, and i hate seagate. it needs everything besides a monitor, cpu fan, and dvd burner. heres what i have, feel free to criticize, adjust, applaud or recommend anything:

he doesnt need a 5870, but that is a very nice deal, id have to see if it works out taking away that combo deal. also, he is extremely adamant about a quad core, preferably a 955

Here's a great X4 955 combo: X4 955 and Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 $235 after rebate (with a free game).

Also, I've found this great 5850 combo: HD 5850 (w/ free surge protector) $287

Those two will save $68 (if my math is right).

with adding in the 5870, and keeping everything else the same, it comes to 1100$. he really doesnt need the 5870, i was going to oc the 5850 for him, so i think he should be fine with the 5850, but if a 5870 can be fit in there for a bit more, then thats good.

i used a different mobo, im doing the overclocking, so i get to choose my mobo i know the 790x is fine, ive used it before, i liked it, its the best buy as far a 7xx boards, but i gotta go with my msi 890fx :lol:
