I don't think it's a mistake. The price is right in line with the rest of AMDs CPU in terms of CPU power.

It's just that its cheaper then the 720 i thought that was weird. If it's right it should be a damn good deal at that price range why buy anything else.

It's called market stratification where they want to offer every price for every need. It all depends on what you need. If you use more multi-threaded apps go for the quadcore for a whole one dollar more. You're guarantted to get 4 functioning cores but you could get lucky and unlock the 4th core from the Heka.

That's a very interesting cpu at the price. 3 cores probably make more sense than anything for the average user, who sometimes needs more than 2, but rarely needs 4.

Thank you for posting this. I've been waiting for this for months. C3 stepping should allow even higher overclocks that 720. Ought to be pretty cool!

Np. I looked around online and it seems a lot of people have been waiting for that CPU. Only downside is OEM only i guess it's not a downside if you already have a cooler

Yep, can't remember (Artic7 or 64) , whatever I've got cooling my A64 5000+BE. I expect at least 3.6 easy (and I'm not looking for more since 20% overclocked should be enough).

Until now, the only source I could find for this was $50 more. Thanks again.
