Old computer sounds like a fighter jet and kind of glad it died, actually just the video card (Leadtek Geforce4 Ti 4600) but think its time to let the athlon xp 2100+ that I've had since 2002 go with it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Going to get a videocard later on if I find I need one, may try my luck with unlocking the other two cores on the processor but no big deal if it doesn't happen still can oc somewhat. Trying to keep the budget pretty lean so keep that in mind if you have any suggestions.

CPU - I would get the Athlon II X4 635 or if you want to try your luck, then the X3 440...
The absence of the L3 cache doesn't affect the performance significantly in regular tasks when compared to the Phenoms II X3/ X4s...
Also for multitasking, the above CPUs would be better...

Mobo - Again you wont be needing the 890GX mobo...IMO the 880G would suffice...

Case fan - Check out this one...

Rest of the choices are very good...
