I want to use that PSU with this system:

Phenom x4 955BE
M4N72-E
GTX 260
3x SATA HDD (500GB each)
2x 120mm LED fans case fans
LG DVD/CD Writer

Would that run everything ok? I don't really want to pay any more than £50 for a PSU if I can get away with it.

Spend another 10p and get the 600w version to be safe
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular Silent

Corsair 650 W TX PSU might not be modular but is one of the best period.

it will work, that PSU has had several good reviews. total system will barely be above 300w at load

That power supply would work but I would personally spend a few more dollars and get an Antec EA 500 Green it has more power on the 12 volt for future upgrades and is a better all around power supply..

for the GTX 260

Recommended 42 Amps on the 12 volt rail for single card and 50 Amps for SLI.
- is completely laughable. the list is pure crap for 12v amp recommendations. Even the manufacturers don't list amps that high and they over state everything.

(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amp Amps.)

IMO that PSU should be enough.but it wont hurt to spend a tad more and get a better PSU like the Antec EA 500 Green or the Corsair VX 550.

I guess nobody looked at my second psu i linked a Corsair TX 650 for 60P at SCAN.
You'd be mad not to get that imo it's better then anything else mentioned thus far.

we looked and we passed (the PSU itself is fine), it's over the OP stated budget.
