PC to TV - No HDTV or SVideo In

Hello!

So first off I want to say this is an excellent community and i've been posting and looking around for quite a while now.

I have a question, and it might be a dumb one but I'm not sure the answer in this area..

I have a family member who wants to hook his laptop (which has S-Video or VGA out) to his home Television. Problem? It's not HDTV and only has the RCA and Coax connectors. Is there anyway to do this without quality loss?

I doubt you can avoid quality loss. Composite is usually regarded as lower quality than S-Video, and both are definitely lower quality than using a VGA cable (and if the TV isn't HD you're limited to about 720x480 anyway). However, if you need an adapter:
