Im finally upgrading my old 250Gb HDD to something bigger. But now i have something like 3 crossroads.
Maybe someone here has one of these HDD's and could share the experience of it?

Maybe someone has something else, to recommend? Please, share your ideas and thoughts.
The max price for me is 120-130$
And what I need is:
- Large storage
- Good read/write speeds
- Kinda quiet and fast
- Sata II or Sata III, it doesnt matter.
- Good quality

I would recommend the Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB or SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB. The Samsung has half the cache of the WD, but is also quite a bit cheaper.

Larger sizes in your price range tend to start sacrificing speed and reliability, while also sporting very weak warranties. You can catch a Seagate Barracuda STBD2000101 2TB on sale now, but the warranty is only 1 year. The caviar greens sacrifice a bit of performance for low cost/low power, but are some of the quieter drives. Check the comments for failure rates before settling on one, and you should be fine.
