Hi All

I have an ATI Radeon HD EAH4670 pci-e graphics card. When I turn on my computer, I see the bios screen and when the XP logo should come up,my monitor displays 'NO SIGNAL'. So, What is broken?????????? I have a 500w Apevia PSU and a MSNV 939 motherboard with 1.5gb of DDR memory. No HDD and no CD drive. I just build it out of spare parts, so I cannot RMA the card.

Thanks

Alex Dillon

Make sure the BIOS is set to look to PCI-E slot for output. Sometimes they default on onboard graphics.

try flashing the bios by removing the bios cell from the mother board and reinserting the cell back into its place....

I have that psu my self and I loathe it. As for the card you may have possible compatibility issue but should be working so if you got an older card on hand clean out all the old drivers then try the 4670 again.

I have tried clearing the bios by removing the battery and switching jumpers. - Nothing

I have used another REALLY old PCI-E card with no troubl except the card sucks.

I do not believe drivers are the issue because I have no hard drive and no OS installed in the system. I just built it.

Any other ideas

Thanks for all the responses,

K without installing an OS how would get the xp logo??you are saying that you do not have an hard disk and you do not have an OS also then how are you gonna test the graphic card??

Are you using Mint? Try another distro or a bootleg copy of windows.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it. I took the card out, put another in and loaded XP on a real hdd now. I put the weird card back in and I got the same No Signal issue after it posted (successfully posted). Any Ideas?

Thank, as you can tell, I am clueless about graphic cards. How would I RMA it. Call Asus? (It is made by Asus not ATI, just "Graphics By ATI")
