Hello,

I have purchased two PowerColor AX5770-1GBD5-H Radeon HD5770 1GB GDDR5(V3) PCI Express 2.1 Video Cards with the purpose of setting them up to run in two CrossfireX.

There are a lot of different makes of this card, I am
talking about the 'V3' made by Powercolor
http://www.powercolor.com/us/products_features.asp?id=209

On their website and on the box it clearly states the card supports
CrossFireX.

Here's the problem: I'm trying to install these on a
vanilla Asus P6T motherboard (which also clearly
supports Crossfire X and includes a bridge).

When I try to place the cards in the correct PCI slots one
of the card's cooling fans gets in the way- it's too
wide!! The next slot over is too far away for the
CrossFireX bridge to reach!

They say these cards are made for CrossFire X, my
hope is someone can help me make this work?

I've stared at them an stared at them and just can't see
how I'm missing something, but I hope I am! Otherwise
I'm stuck with two cards that I can't use for the purpose I
bought them for. :-(

Thanks,

Garrett

This is why I never bother with crossfire. There is always one problem or another.

Thanks Emerald, that looks like it may be my best bet. If I don't hear back from the manufacturer soon (I bet I won't) I will give that a try! From what I'm seeing they are engaged in false advertising, might have to give them a hard time.

Thanks again for the help! :)
