Stuck in AOD

I am stuck in the Hall of Seasons attempting to get the panting from the
statue whilst being buzzed by the ghost. Every time I run to the statue
with the blue light, it goes out & so cannot get this picture to proceed
with the game.

Anyone else hit this problem & how did you get around it.

Help appreciated.

One of the most annoying puzzles in a TR game ever.
You have to shoot the ghost to freeze the painting in one place for a couple
of seconds.
You have to be so quick.
Best to position yourself as close to where you see the painting without
triggering it's disappearance and crouch.
Shoot the ghost. When it stops, run to the painting and grab as soon as the
icon appears.
Pain the hole really.
But not the worst in the game. That comes later. ;-)

Of course, since that has to be precise, you may end up taking a lot of
shots. Better break out that shotgun when you're ready to attack (you
should have a metric buttload of shells by this time).
