Linksys not working with mifi

Hello,
I have a MiFI and I bought a linksys usb wireless adapter for my old desktop.The install went well but it is not recognizing the mifi. Been thru all the wzc and making sure the device is working properly. It will pick up other wifi signals in area,but not the mifi..Can someone help me figure out what the heck is going on? Using windows XP desktop is an emachine.

I attempted to install a MiFi onto an existing network which uses a Linksys router. I discovered that they both want to use the same IP address - 192.168.1.1. Now I am in the process of reconfiguring my Linksys router to use a different IP.
