Computer freezes and unfreezes

Computer is freezing and unfreezing. Freezes randomly for about 15 seconds, no keyboard/mouse working, then resumes working. Causing a lot of problems with using Skype for telephoning, as well as stops stock data streams while online trading. Gotta fix this. Any ideas?

Help us help you. Post complete system specs. Have you run a virus scan and Malwarebytes scan?
