Hello all,

I'm working on building a new PC for my dad for his birthday. I've got everything ironed out, save one small issue, sound. For whatever reason, the onboard sound doesn't seem to want to work. I can only seem to get one output to put out anything of the six (Board here )... after fighting with drivers, re-installation, volume sliders, disabling enhancements, all that jazz, I gave up and put the sound card I just took out of my current rig into it. It worked no less than a week ago, but upon plugging in and installing, again, only one output seems to be delivering anything. It's amazingly frustrating, and I'm at a loss of what could be causing this... any ideas? Thanks!

Well...if you are playing back a 2.0 audio source, you should only be getting audio from the front speaker output (Green). So the first question is: Are you using >2.0 audio sources?

Make sure the proper speaker config is selected via the Windows Control Panel; I find this less frustrating then going through drivers...
