Can anyone clue me in a great gaming video card I can upgrade for this motherboard, Asus A8NX-E? I need to upgrade this box later this year by replacing it entirely but till then I would like to beef up the graphics card. I think currently there is an NVIDIA 9400 GT installed. The primary purpose for this box is MMO games.

Thanks in advance.

I use 1600x1200.

2gb or ram

current video card: GeForce 8600 GTS
power supply: AX500-A 500W

So the question is what video card, if any, can I get to bump up performance?

So. I upgraded my gfx card to an ATI HD 5770. Figure that's enough for a bump.

Do you mean you already upgraded to an ATI HD 5770? And yes, that is enough for a good bump at your resolution.

You're still going to be CPU limited. Even assuming that you have a dual core processor, it's still based on an old architecture, while good for its time, is blown away by the low end parts of today.

You may or may not see any kind of performance increase when adding a new video card.
