Memory Flub?

Good morning/afternoon/evening community,

Warning! First build noob here.

I need some help. In my attempt to get an order through quickly while at work I may have selected the wrong memory for my MOBO. I thought for sure that the following memory was on the approved list but sure enough it is in fact not.

Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9

MOBO: ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION LGA 1155 Intel P67 / NVIDIA NF200 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Now everything that I have read seems to lead to the fact that this memory should be ideal, but since it is not in the documentation it has me second guessing.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

That memory should be perfect for your new board. Not all memory that works will be on the list. It may be newer than the list for instance.

Confirming that all manufacturers are notorious for not keeping their approved lists up to date. That memory will work fine.
