my old 775 mobo has just died (msi p31 neo-f) and i'm trying to get hold of another 775 one, as i don't have the cash to do a complete upgrade. I've been looking at the gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L, as it has good reviews and seems to fit the basic stuff from my old pc. I've never done a mobo change and was wondering if the gigabyte model would fit.

MSI P31 Neo-F (old)
Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L (new)
intel E8400 @3Ghz
2GB g skill ddr2 800Mhz ram
Nvidia 430 1GB graphics
Hanns-G HW191d monitor
atrix 650 W power

thanks for your help

It will definitely fit as it's a mATX and the old one is ATX.

As far as brands I've had great luck with ASUS & Gigabyte. So, your good to go there too...
