Laptop prcessors

got a question im not to into laptops or there processors, but i am figuring there not quite the same as the desctop ones

im looking at 2 laptops all equal stats but a gateway for 799 has an i5 2.26 ghz vs the other an hp with a i7 1.60 ghz both have 4gb of ddr3

now i know you pay more for hp on average but for a general use laptop i dont think the i7 is worth the extra 200 bucks. what do you think. the most it will do is play a dvd or 2 otherwise be in the classroom.

Ya, i would go for the cheaper one because you wont even need the i7 and you'll get more battery life because of that
