Installing a Processor

Hello guys...just got a new processor to install on my motherboard and I was wondering what safety measures I have to take before installing it?

Do you have to wear gloves or plug the PSU to the power source (off mode), any other things I have to know before starting to install it?

Ground yourself to kill static.

Not really safey but anti-damage tip, double check to make sure the CPU is seated properly before applying the locking lever. Otherwise, you'll get bent pins.

Follow the manual which comes with the processor (or with the motherboard) which has detailed description regarding proper installation of the processor (aligning the notch properly and stuff).. After that its all about seating and securing the heatsink properly.. Do not connect any power plugs while you are going through the process of installing the processor..
