I am trying to display photos on a TV. The device I'm trying to use states
"Cannot support resolution over 3200 X 2400." I used an 8 meg camera so I
shot a couple of shots at 3 megs and the device worked fine. How can I
reduce the size of the photos I wish to display on TV to something under the
maximum size of 3200 X 2400? TIA

Any photoediting program should be able to do it. Standard NTSC television is
usually around 640 x 480..

Look for Irfanview.. It's free.

Download and install Irfanview (free) from here
http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm
After you install it, pull down from the Menu -Image, pick Resize/
resample.

For reasons I haven't been able to understand, when I display image from 2mp
camera or resample to 640x480, verticals distort, 640x420 looks about right.
I do not see this problem using slide show software such as MyDVD.
