What happens if I delete my ATI Control Panel?

Hello,
I'm deleting unnecessary programs from a laptop.
What exactly is the function of the ATI CP, and what other procedures will be affected if I delete it?

scratch that. Forgot this was for a laptop. Probably best to just leave it in there as laptop drivers may be propriatary to the system manufacturer and standard drivers from ATI may not work as expected.
