I am having a very strange problem with my BNIB Vertex 4.
To put it plainly, my BIOS will not recognize the SSD under the master/slave channel listing .. it shows my storage drive, but the SSD which is meant to be the OS drive will not show up. Oddly, when you click on the master channel it is attached to, BIOS will recognize the storage amount (128gb).
Further, when I am selecting the specific boot order for my hard drives, BIOS will recognize and list the SSD.
When I went to make a fresh install of Windows 7 SP1 64bit Enterprise edition, the install will proceed without issue, but once the system reboots in order to complete the installation, I get an error indicating that windows could not install on my system's hardware.
I spoke to tech support over the phone and was recommended to update my drive's firmware to 1.5 which I did using the OCZ tool, I also did a secure erase, but when I went to try the install again, as well as review BIOS to see if anything changed, nothing did and I am still getting the same error.
I am very lost right now and have no idea why my software/bios are acting the way they are. Another odd thing is if I go to boot, I am given a list of *FOUR* instances of windows to boot up off of my SSD, which obviously is wrong. Any help at all would be extremely helpful as I am at a loss for how to fix this issue.
I'd like to add, when I reboot off of an install of windows, I tried to pull up the boot menu, I chose hard disk and now I am only seeing my USB stick (bootable USB for Windows) and my storage drive I would presume.
Also, I have my BIOS setup in AHCI but I did notice it was effecting how it would detect my drives.
