Alright, recently purchased :
-ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

-AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT90ZFBGRBOX

-CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9

I've installed from my previous computer:

-Radeon HD 4870 GFX Card

-Antec Tripower 650 watt PSU

I've gotten it to the point where it powers on and goes through the initial tests, however I get no display, and I get a post beep for no VGA found. Now, I've never built a computer that doesn't have integrated video card on the motherboard, so this is probably a question out of ignorance, but am I required to have a basic VGA video card for first time setup, or is the problem most likely something else? I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

On a whim last night I hooked it up to my standard monitor and voila it worked... So at least I having a working desktop again, just am down a monitor :D
