More about witch
  1. I forgot , the site is dutch so i placed the name next to the link
  2. and sorry for my crappy english
  3. Don't apologize . My Dutch is nonexistent. :)

My first choice for PSU's is Corsair. Second choice Antec. You should avoid Coolermaster.

A 550 watt PSU will power your system with no problems.
  4. if a may ask why wouldn't you avoid a coolermaster ?
  5. Well if you only want to run one graphics card then the Corsair VX 550, Antec Truepower New 550 and probably the Cooler Master Real Power M620 would be fine for that.

If you want to be able to run two 5850s then either the Corsair TX 650 or Antec Truepower New 650 would be right, altho if you bought the Corsair 650 you'd have to use molex adapters to provide the second PCI-E power connector.

I believe that the Real Power series from Cooler Master is one of their better ones, altho a good Cooler Master is nowhere near as good as a good Antec/Corsair/Seasonic, etc.
  6. But which one is the most quiet, they all say that they are quiet but most off the times it isn't true, so i wonder which one I should take
  7. and does the antec TP-550 have 2X 6-pin connectors for my gpu?
  8. Yes one is 6+2 and the other is a plain 6 pin

There aren't much reviews about the antec tp-550W, do you think that it wil remain under 34dBA, or should i take the cm 700w silent pro, it remains under 34dBA
  10. I would get the cheapest 500-750 watt 80plus certified psu avaliable from antec, pc power cooling, corsair, or thermaltake, or even seasonic.
  11. Any of the antecs or corsairs will stay quite quiet. not sure about 34dBA but that is a very low noise level, the CPU fan in your system will be well above that. I have an EA500 from antec and its only got an 80mm fan and i can never hear it over the other fans in the system.

x2, I have never owned a psu that i could hear. no matter what brand. your GPU and CPU fans are always louder. with speakers on or headphones you definitally could not hear them.

My pc is for my family and me, so thats why i need to have a quiet pc.
  14. Does the antec 550w have a +12V rail with 40 amps ?
  15. Straight-to-the-point, just buy the Corsair TX750W. It's among the most reliable psu you can find out there. You won't regret it.

    Link to the PSU:

And don't worry, it is a really quiet psu.
  16. First 750-850W psu's are a bit to expensive for me, this is the site were i will buy my psu: http://www.forcom.be/?cat=105&sub=PSU&soort=
My budget for a psu is max 110€. I prefer a modular or medi-modular psu.
  17. Yes the Antec 550 has a combined 12V total of 45A.
