Single link dvi-d vs vga

im stuck with either a single link dvi-d cord or a vga cord, which one should i use? whats the difference?

  1. Digital > analog. Technically, analog can support a higher resolution (2048 x 1536, as opposed to 1920 x 1080), but hardly anyone uses higher than 1080p and vga can't support that either.
  2. Use your DVI-D, offer's a better quality picture (if the monitor makes a difference anyway)
