Hello,
which card consumes more power 9800gt or 5750 hd ?
Also how is the performance of 5750 hd 512mb?

What is your resolution? There are 2 editions with the 9800gt, green version with lower power consumption and the regular with higher power consumption. The 5750 falls in between around 80w at full load. Performance for the 5750 is great at lower resolutions but at resolutions up to to 1900x1200 it doesn't run the modern games that great. Get the 1gb version for higher monitor size and resolution.

with a 250w PSU your options are pretty much the ATI 4550 or 5450

you need a 350w+ from a good PSU to run the 5750 or 9800GT

But anyways 5750 would be a little bit of an overkill considering your resolution in 1280 by 1024, unless your playing crysis. Otherwise 5670 is your best bet, least power consumption and $90~.

Well its best video card he can get that is within his PSU limit. Otherwise he'll have to get a lower-end entry level video card like the 5570 or 4670.

The HD 5670 is best video card you can get for a PC with a 250w, assuming it's a decent quality PSU. It is about 25% more powerful than the older HD 4670 video card and consumes less power.

The next step down would be the HD 5570 which is probably about as powerful as the HD 4650 and consumes less power.

Actually, the 5570 is slightly faster than the 4670:

With that setup you'll be lucky to even run it at low settings. Don't think about playing games like that until you get a better CPU and ram.

Yeah, yeah... shut up.

That's why I said probably rather than is for the HD 5570 since I don't really bother looking at low end cards.
