External HD Need Help

Ok peeps i have a external maxtor hd from a while back and the 12v power adapter thing broke years ago and i was never able to find a replacement for it. I never threw away the drive or anything i just boxed it up cause I got pictures of my family and kids on it and would really not want to lose them if at all possible. Is their anyway i can open the drive and hook it to my current cp or something? If anyone has any advice or suggestions i would like to hear them.

there are loads of those types of things.

You will need to remove the drive from the external casing to be able to attach it to that device. Be careful removing the drive as depending on the casing/drive it can be a bit of a hassle to remove.

Heres a link for the drive on the page it doesnt say anything about win 7 but only cuz win 7 wasnt out like 10 yrs ago so will my cp with win 7 recognize the pictures/files and *** ?
