$600 CAD Performance Build

Alright so I guess my old account got deactivated..

But anyways I'm making a performance PC which MUST include an AMD Quad Core Proccessor Unless someone can convince be otherwise,
4 GB RAM and anywhere from 500GB - 1TB of space Obviously the motherboard has to be AM3 socket type and able to hold up to 16GB ram, I need a decent video card to just watch movies in better quality maybe a little gaming, and a slightly better than decent sound card for some music production. Id like a quiet system, looking to overclock/use the new core unlocker so some Cooling would be nice.

Please help, Thanks :)

  2. That, looks awesome actually. is there perhaps a phenom II x4 proccessor that could be incorporated into the build? and Is it 506 after shopping? Cause I can go up to 520 CAD.

Thanks this build alot, but Im just gonna wait around to see some more sresults that might come along.

    Thanks :)
  3. Here is the cheapest Phenom II X4 worth buying:

so the final price will be 536$. :(
  4. any cutbacks on other hardware?
  5. Hmmm... i think not... :??:
  6. CAD is Canadian dollar, unknown, so I don't think even that build will work. Unfortunately I think to go with a quad core is a little unrealistic at this price range if you are also expecting any kind of video card. I'll take a gander at newegg.ca, but you may need to up your budget, or save up for another time.
