Hello, this is my first computer build. If you have the time, and the inclination, could you review my parts list for compatibility and provide your personal opinion/recommendation as well.
My budget limit is $1500.00. I want to play high end games and newly released games, and online games. I will be doing audio and video (pod cast) editing and photography editing (Photoshop) at a very small hobbyst level not on a professional level.

I do have one specific question. The computer case that I have chosen, is it big enough? Would you reccomend a different case?

Go for X58 platform (you already have the budget for it)

Here is what i put together for 960$ in a previous thread (w/o GPU):

CPU: Intel Core i7-930
MB: ASUS P6T
RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache
Case: COOLER MASTER RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Advanced Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
PSU: COOLER MASTER GX Series RS750-ACAAE3-US 750W

All the parts are from Newegg
So this, plus a nice 5850, and that monitor, and u will have a great gaming PC, and it will do other things w/o a problem :)

(If you want don't buy that Samsung HDD and buy the WD 1TB Black you stated in your post)

Thanks for taking the time to reccomend parts. I agree about the I7930 series, I was just worried about the cost. But you and others have won me over. I will be getting the I7930 processor, but I will be getting it from mirco center not Newegg, because I can get it $90.00 cheaper from micro center. Here is the revised list.

I would look to pick up a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ from Microcenter, so you can overclock that CPU. They are normally under $30 at MC, which is a good price & a good performer.

If you don't want a HSF, I would switch your RAM to the G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600 Cas7.

The rest of your build looks good and the HAF 922 will fit everything nicely.

Looks good. Second the Hyper 212+.

Yeah the build is great, +1 on the 212+.
