APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This month BUDGET RANGE: $1200-$1400 SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Photoshop, Hi-def Movies

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Videocard (Radeon 5870) Monitor (Samsung 2433BW)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Hong Kong

PARTS PREFERENCES: Gigabye or Asus motherboard with a Coolermaster CM 690 II with a modular power supply

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Should I go with AMD since gaming will be my rig's main purpose? If I go with Intel, should I go with x58 or p55? I already have a Radeon 5870 so the $1200-$1400 is for all the other critical components.

Solution
Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced is a great case choice.

Since you're considering Crossfire/SLI some good modular PSUs to consider: Antec TruePower New TP-750 / Antec EarthWatts EA750 / CORSAIR 750HX / XFX Black Edition P1-750B-CAG9 750W

A couple CPU/Motherboard/RAM combo's I like:
i7 930, GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R, Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB DDR3 1600 Model 998805
i7 860, ASUS P7P55D PRO, G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 1600 Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
Phenom II X6 1090T, ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 890FX, Mushkin Enhanced Redline 4GB DDR3 1600 Model 996746

Thanks unknown_13. Any other recommendations for the motherboard or power supply?

Over here in Hong Kong, vendors do not have the ability to carry the same amount of stock as newegg.com in the US.

So just in case I cannot get the Coolermaster GX Series 750w, any other recommendations for modular psus?

Well if u don't plan putting on another 5870/5850, this'll do the job:

Antec TruePower New TP-650 650W Continuous Power:
