9800gt or 250 gts for gta iv??

hiiii..........im a big fan for gta iv..............i couldnt play it but now im upgrading my pc to do so.......i wanted to know that will 9800gt be enough to play gta iv smoothly with high textures or is it compulsory for me to upgrade to gts 250 as i have a low budget..................other specs r core 2 quad 2.8 ghz with 3 gb ram...plzzzzzzzzzzzz help!!!!!!

GTA IV doesn't run very well on the PC, so it's a bad idea to upgrade your PC just for this one game. What else do you plan on playing?

Well the GTS 250 is certainly a better card. Whether it is necessary depends on your resolution. If you are using 1680x1050 you will definitely want at least the GTS 250 imo. Below that the 9800GT with perform well but the GTS 250 will still be significantly better.

That said you really need to make sure your power supply can handle whatever card you choose before purchasing it so let us know the brand/model or look at the chart on the side of the PSU(inside the case) and tell us how many amps it claims to have on the +12v rail(s).
