Will socket am3 support the bulldozer cpus?

ok title says it all, i firsyt thought it did but someone posted something saying only socket am3+ will support the bulldozer cpus, is this true?

Yes this is true that Bulldozer will only run in AM3+ but what AMD did for us was they made it backwards compatible with AM3 CPUs.

Not really yes by an economical standpoint but from a performance aspect Bulldozer needed a new socket to really show us what it can do.
