My first build.

Ok so now is my time for an upgrade from my boutique system, and i am doing it myself. I have most of my specs planned out, but a few specs are killing me, like the case (need a big spacious full tower case), psu needs to be 1600w, liqud cooling, i am ocing everything (cpu, gpu, ram) and i love the colers they come in, my friend had a lcing system that is red, blue, and green ( lovedit, as an added plus i almost got frostbite for putting my hand in his case.) And my biggest problem is the mobo: Asus rampage III, or evga 3xsli classified mobo. But i also have a problem with ram either 2000 mhz 12gb, or 1600 mhz 24gb.

also looking for nice 2560x1600 eyefinety 3 monitor setup, include all cables that might be needed for the monitors and everything else

dont do a huge upgrade, it's gunna be obsolete, do something like a core i7 930 and a gtx480, unless you want the best of the best, spend away

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: (e.g.: Need to have a window, would like a quiet PC but has excellent cooling, needs to be full tower, and can hide wires easily. I really would prefer Ati 5970's over quad sli 480's )

Wow.. this brings back memories of the 10k build.

I know this gets argued about a lot in the more expensive builds..
Are you absolutely set on spending that much money?

yes, yes i am, but if i could get that much future proffe and pure horsepower at a smaller price, i would go for it full-heartedly.

Well, you could get something that's nearly as powerful and shave a lot off the price.

if u want air cooling i would go with an i7 980x gigabyte x58a ud9 6gb ddr3 2000mhz cl6 ram 4gtx480 sli(can easily beat 2x5970 oced i mean 3gtx480's can beat 25970)

4 gtx480s do alot worst than 3 gtx480s(when it came out)

for me the difference between getting quadsli 480's is that i want my house, seriously do you know how hot those things are, and the electricity bill.
