My keyboard stops working until reboot

Hello,
my keyboard stops working until I reboot. Once it rebooted it works fine for about 2 hours then again stops working.
Actually, in about 2 hours some weird stuff happens on my pc, in other words menu property panel below the screen gets grey for about 2-3 seconds and then again gets back to its previous condition. I have xp sp2. Can anyone advise on this pls?

Is it wireless? Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?
