i want to buy an ssd 60 or 64 version. i'll be using it to install my os in it only but i am not sure what to buy. i've short listed two 1. intel 520 series 60gb; 2. OCZ vertex 4 64gb. please help me out with it. any suggestion would be appreciable. thank u.

I don't do builds anymore with 64 GB SSD's as their owners wanna come over within 3 -6 months to have me clean them off as they are full. Just installed Windows on a 128 GB partition on this new lappie .... all user files, temp files, programs etc on separate partition and C drive is at 49.8 GB after a week. I'd save for a 120/128 GB model.

Tier 2 is the fastest for 120/128GB size and that tier includes just the Plextor M3 128 GB

Tier 3 includes the Samsung 830 SSD 128 GB and all 120 GB second-gen SandForce SSDs with Toggle NAND (Chronos Deluxe, Patriot Wildfire, Vertex 3 Max IOPS, OWC Mercury Extreme)

Tier 5 includes Crucial m4 128 GB, and all 120 GB second-gen SandForce SSDs with Sync ONFi NAND (i.e. Intel 520)

Tier 9 includes the Intel SSD 520 60 GB

Tier 2 is 10% faster than Tier 3
Tier 2 is 46% faster than Tier 5
Tier 2 is 200% faster than Tier 9
