hi i want to update my motherboard seems to be dying on me.
Elitegroup Pm800-m2 board

Cpu socket 478
processor Intel P4
fsb 800/533/ 400mhz

Chipset via pm800 (north bridge) & vt8237 (south)

Memory 2x 184pin ddr dimm socket up to 2Gb
support ddr400/333/266 mhz 2.5v ddr sdram

That's been long since dead, and I think the last ones at retail have disappeared.

Appears to be the last one on Newegg, I can't speak to its quality or features.

Honestly you can take that $60 and put it to much better use with some more cash and get a nice little upgrade. Much of the socket 775 hardware is being aggressively pricecut, and for $100-150 you can quad or quintuple your computer's performance. You can get a 775 CPU for $50 and a motherboard for $40. Socket 775 is being EOL'd at the moment as well, as is 1156, and soon 1366 is hitting the chopping block, so 478 is 5 socket generations old.
