I have some cash for a new build. I will be buying from New Egg... I will not be saving anything from this computer except keyboard, mouse, monitor and CASE...

I like to play games and OC my computer. But also, will not tinker with it for a few years...I have had this one for sometime now and its moving on to be the kids computer.

So, items I need and what I am considering

CPU core i7-875k 1156
MOBO Asus Maxiumus III Formula 1156
MEM Corsair Dominator 8gb DDR3 1600
PSU Corsair 850HX
VIDEO Need help....Upto 400 to spend.. I like quite fans.. I have Accelero X2? what ever the bigger one is.. make a suggestion
HD Thinking of going with SSD....Not sure
Heat Sink Thinking Noctura NH-D14....

I havent paid attention to computers other than to use them for the last few years...Any counter suggestions? I like to know the why's and why not's....

CPU: Intel Core i7-930
COOLER: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus*
MOBO: MSI Big Bang-XPower
RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB DDR3-1600 CL6
GPU: 3 x XFX HD-587X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5870
PSU: CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-950TX
SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTX50G 2.5" 50GB
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
ODD: LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Total: $2,508.89

*The Cooler Master Hyper 212+ can be found on amazon for $30, newegg has it overpriced right now

and for a pure gaming build, you won't need more than the 6GB of ram (or even 4 really). The i7-930 should be able to hit 3.6GHz, and a bit higher if you like more speed (though i don't think it will be necessary)

though what case do you have now that you want to keep? a new case that is good is only around $100

For $2,500 Gaming Build here is what I would get:

CPU: Intel Core i7 930
GPU: 2x GTX 480's
PSU: Corsair 1000HX
MB: Asus P6X58D-E
RAM: OCZ 6GB Triple Channel 1600mhz/Cas7
ODD: LG Blue Ray Burner
SSD: Intel X25-V
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
HSF: Cooler Master Hyper 212+

A 3 way GTX 470 setup would be a bit more powerful I think, but by getting 2 GTX 480's now, and then upgrading later to a third would be better. Your budget cap is reached.
