Gaming rig to build

is this ok for my gaming rig?

Athlon™ II X3 440
MSI 785GM-E65
MSI HD 5770 Hawk
2x 2gb ddr3 1333 Kingston [tight budget]
OCZ Mod X Stream 600watts

will my processor handle the 5770?

Should do fine, the Athlon II X3 440 has shown it self to do rather well in gaming, you shouldnt have any issues. You might not be able to max stuff out but you should be able to play on high.

thank you... but im also thinking to get the x2 be? is it ok or should i stick with the x3 440? because phenom x3 is hard to find now in our country phils.

That's a good balance with the x3 and a 5770. The only thing I'd suggest with doing a new build now is get a mobo with USB 3.0. Won't do much now, but its not any more expensive to have it available. Look for 870 or 880G mobos.

how about this is has USB3? will it fit my setup? it has the same price as the MSI board.

That will work. That's the first a 785 has been pointed out with USB 3.0. Doesn't have the Sata III, but unless you're going SSD in this systems lifetime, you won't use that.

ok, but the question now will the Athlon x3 440 work on the Gigabyte board? ive check their site and shows only Athlon II X3 435 no X3 440?

That's interesting. I would think that it would. To know for sure you'd have to contact them or find a different Mobo. Do you need micro ATX?

i selected a micro ATX bec. that fits my budget. and i dont plan of xfire i just want to play games.^^ do you have any other suggestion for a mobo that is efficient and costs less? but performs well for my build?

No problem. Looking at others using the gigabyte boards, no issues I can see with the 440 even though its not on the list. But this Asus board is in the same ballpark with free shipping and the 440 is on the support list. Use the promo code if ordering by tomorrow (wed) and its only $90.
