My WD Green hard drive just recently failed on me, and it's still in warranty.
My question is, if i send it back for RMA will WD look into the files/data inside the hard drive?

Solution
Wkwkwk  ,
I don't think they will make troubles (extra work) for themself..
they "usually" just ignore it. From bussines point of view it nothing good/profitable for reporting their constumer. (they will play dumb if they can)

but we are not talking about military secret or wiki leaks data here right.....

U cannot get your data back when u RMA it, they usually clean the data or just send u another refurbished drives...

If they would look at the data or not. I don't know, but minimum they will check the data intregity for bad sector / bad plates.
