Gtx 285 winxp resolution problem

hello, i recently got the gtx 285 zotac amp edition. but for some reason cant pass the 1216x676res. if i pass i cant even see the start button. also my tv dsnt have the option to scale the resolution, im new the nvidia. tyvm for your time.

What was your previous card? In any case, use your old card and uninstall whatever drivers you had for it. Install nVidia's latest drivers for the GTX285, shut down, replace your old card with the GTX285 and boot the system up.

everything is new board/cpu/video card, the card has the latest drivers. 147.95ver.

The latest drivers are 197.45. Not sure if you simply got the numbers mixed up or not. Did you build this new computer from scratch or was it pre-built? Have you tried reinstalling the drivers anyway? Never hurts to try that.

yeh i mixed up the numbers. is new from scratch and i have reinstall the drivers like 5 times now. ingame this happend too. cant change resolution cuz it gets out of the scale of the tv

What TV are you using? It might be that your TV doesn't support the extra resolutions. In some cases, it might even be a bad DVI/HDMI cable (quite rare).

im using a Sylvania one rly dunno the complete name right now, but is not the tv. neither hdmia cable. last time it work fine with my ati 4890
