Ati radeon graphics cards and maya

I have a asus radeon hd 4350 512mb pci-express graphics card coming to replace my old ati radeon 4650 hd 1gb agp card. I was told it will be faster ad better performance even though it is a half of gig less. I was told this is the case because it is pci-e and I will be running on a system with 6 gb of ram and 64bit. Is this the case. I use maya and the old one worked fine with maya and mudbox 2010 but not 2011.the new one supports blue ray and the old one didn't.

so your telling me a agp card is faster than a pci-express card? I think you are wrong. I have also read this in other places pci-express is replacing agp and regular pci
  3. PCI-E vs AGP isn't the only reason to judge the performance, google for both AGP 4650 and PCI-E 4350 review and you'll find out that 4650 is faster.
