Ssd Corsair 240gb Force Gs or Vertex 4 256gb? In my country the the gs is u$d 380 and the Vertex 4 is u$d455

I would recommend using the mentioned Samsung 830, it is not the fastest but a really realiable drive. I have one and it works pretty good.

they both are relatively the same specs - get the cheaper one

the Gs uses 4.6W max compared to the V4's spec'd 2.5W
however the Gs' idle is 0.6W compared to 1.3W for the V4

From a performance point of view, any modern 240gb SSD will perform about the same as any other.
The benchmark numbers that are touted have little to do with reality. The benchmark apps use synthetic programs to drive the SSD to it's max at high queue lengths, typically 30.
We desktop users do most things one at a time.

My take is to buy on reliability and price.
Intel and samsung make their own nand chips and have the means to do a better job of validation.
You hear of very few issues from their SSD's.
On the other hand, check the support forums for OCZ and Corsair to see what issues they have.

The only samung 830 that i can get here, is the one of 64Gb and for the intel ones Ssd Intel 320 Series 160gb Sata2 but it is u$d 475 :S
