Your question

Is there a simple bottleneck in my setup or just the whole system ?

I need help from you guys here in deciding if an upgrade makes sense. I am starting to bottleneck somewhere for newer games but would like to mention that I am a budget conscious casual gamer (1-2 hours at max in a day).

I have no intention of getting the best and expensive. I am willing to spend $ 300-400 if that upgrade will ensure i am set for say 2 years.

I like to play slightly older games like WOW, CS:Source at higher settings and newer games like Dragon age origins or BF2:BC at ok settings. 1440x900 is fine with me.

Does it look like I can upgrade something which would give me the most bang for the buck or the system is balanced and needs a full overhaul.

Thank you

its not a simple bottleneck

you can try ebay or amazon for a used athlon x2 5000+ and grab an ATI 5750 off newegg.

but for the same price as the used x2 5000+, you could get an Athlon x3 435 or 440 and build a solid AM3 set up.
