How to reset defult driver

Hello,
A week ago, I lost all of my saved documents and games. I tried to recovery files but this didn’t help. . Most of my computer space is being used by I am not sure because I have no files. I also notices that when I save a document on the C driver it default and save to D driver as well. How can I keep my documents from saving on both drivers? Also, when I delete duplicate documents from D driver it clears them from the C driver too. How can I fit this problem? I am really tired of paying my computer for nothing.

Check whether you've got automatic backup software running in the background which uses the D: drive as the backup location, as that type of software would cause the symptoms you've described.
