Hello all, I am planning on buying a fresh new set of RAM but I am stuck on which one of these I would like to purchase, since they both look very good to me.

Here both sets of RAM are designed for phenom II processors, I have the phenom II x4 965 BE, so I suppose that's good right? I want to make sure this system gives me the least fuss possible when I overclock. The above Corsair RAM, however, has a latency of 8 @ DDR3 1600, while the below G.Skill RAM has a latency of 9 @ DDR3 1800. Not sure which would be better. My primary use is for gaming, I don't care about anything else, I want games to run as good as possible.

Also my motherboard says its memory standard is "DDR3 1800(OC)/1600(OC)/1333/1066/800", so that means I can use DDR3 1600 and 1800 RAM with no problems right? What exactly does the (OC) mean?

Note: I know the G.Skill RAM says it's designed for phenom ii x6 cpus, but I read some reviews from people who have x4 cpus and they had no problems.

If you guys could help me out with this that would be much appreciated :)

Thanks

if i were you id go for dominator.
why?
its cheaper, and smaller (not as tall judging by the pictures) than the gskill one.
but that is just my opinion.
you wont really notice a difference between 8 and 9 cas latency.
if you plan to overclock then might as well get the flares that comes with the fan.
anyways, what is your system build?

This is my build:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
MOBO: ASRock 890FX DELUXE3 AM3 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz
SSD: Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB SATA III MLC
RAM: OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6870
PSU: Kingwin 1000W ATX/BTX 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified PSU

Right now my ram is good but I accidentally bought a set that was specifically designed for an intel platform, and I'm not sure if it's going to hold me back from overclocking. Also I never planned on overclocking the memory, only the cpu, but I read that depending on what type of RAM you have it could affect your CPU overclock.
