  1. A procceseor isn't 32/64 bit. Your operating system is. But you need a "powerful" processor to handle 64bit. Bassically any new cpu and most older ones can handle it which one do you have?
  2. Taken from newegg.coms Athlon IIx4 specs:

    Brand AMD
    Processors Type Desktop
    Series Athlon II X4
    Model ADX630WFGIBOX
    CPU Socket Type
    CPU Socket Type Socket AM3
    Tech Spec
    Core Propus
    Multi-Core Quad-Core
    Name Athlon II X4 630
    Operating Frequency 2.8GHz
    Hyper Transports 4000MHz
    L2 Cache 4 x 512KB
    Manufacturing Tech 45 nm
    64 bit Support Yes

As you can see it does specify if it supports 64 bit.
  3. If you know what processor it is, you can usually find that information on either AMD or Intel's web site. Look for architectual design specifications.

Go to run and type dxdiag on it.. If its 64bit processor the info will show as ' x-64'.. If nothing shows then its 32bit
