Dying ATI 4890

I am having problems with my graphics card I think..

I have a Radeon HD 4890 with a Phenom II X4 945 Processor, DDR2 800 8GB PQI Turbo RAM.

I've always gotten ATLEAST the max set FPS in Modern Warfare 2 (91) and I've always tested over 300 FPS in Counter Strike source, and all of my graphics drivers are updated.

All the sudden for the past 2 days I've been getting under 50 FPS in MW2 and under 180 in Counter Strike source.

Is my video card dying?

I reseated the card in the motherboard and blew it out with a compressor and now the performance is just as good as always.

My only complaint is that it is idling at 51C with the fan turned at 80% which is so loud I can't stand it.

It's going up to 80C in game if I leave the fan to be controlled by ATI Catalyst.

For HD4890, 80'C is a piece of cake... :)
Your card can stand above 100'C, so don't worry about that temps.
How old is your card? Maybe it's the right time to re-apply the thermal paste...
