BIOS reset

Hello, i have lenovo ideapad Y550 and i need to reset the BIOS, since i've lost the password. but i m unable to locate the bios battery. pl help

Laptop, I assume. Find the service manual or whatever it's called if it is available. Then look in that for instructions.

Well on the HP laptops at work you reset the BIOS by removing the actual Main Batter Pack. Then turn on the computer to drain off any bit of charge in the systems capacitors. Re-install the main battery back and you should be good to go....

When you think about it, far better way to reset than tearing apart a laptop.... give it a try may work for you too....
