Hey, I have never built a computer before, and i want to make a starting gaming pc. am i missing anything aside from a monitor. And will these parts work together, if so, can they handle games?

That motherboard and chip are complete garbage. Circa 2006, I hope you're ok with having an outdated slow computer the second it's completed.

I would get a better motherboard and gpu. i would not go with bundles b/c you can get more better parts if you buy them sepertaly

if you like laggy ass thats a great system, but in all seriousness, try newegg and look for something a bit more update along the lines of AM3 AM2+ AM2

maybe a good dual core?
Bigger HDD?
GPU needs to be better
need at least 4 GB of Ram running on vista and up

Give us an estimated budget and people can give a full systems worth of parts for you to consider. It is hard to do that without a price guideline

I really don't want to spend more than $400. I know it's a low amount for a gaming pc, but my goal is to start low and over the course of the year upgrade it to the value of maybe a $700 pc.
