I would recommend you get something a little better than the bioshock 2 recommendation.

Bioshock 2
Recommended
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Dual Core 2.60Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Dual Core 2.13Ghz
Memory: 3GB
Graphics: NVIDIA 8800GT 512MB graphics card or better, ATI Radeon HD4830 512MB graphics card or better

Meh this is the best I could do for what's there. You and your stupid VAT tax. :p  Remember they don't include an operating system so you'll have to buy that also.

Pretty much anything with a geforce 250 and any processor above 2.2ghz on that site should be able to play bioshock though.

Going to ask the obvious question - considered building your own? It is pretty easy and you get much better for your money

well i wouldnt no how to put a processor on a mobo...
will pc shops do that for you ?

also if your building a mid range pc for a bit of gamming
would u go for the i5 or the phenom 955 ?

AMD as it is cheaper, Phenom 955 if budget allows, but otherwise can go with a cheaper processor to upgrade in the future.
i5 750 and Phenom 955 are really for those going for high end PC builds for gaming as they are big power for good price, but for a bit of gaming they are more than you need

If you look to the 'New build for £300-400' thread you will see some suggestions for a budget AMD build
