Possible Gaming rig?

Hey,
i have had an xbox 360 for a number of years and wanted to upgrade to a gaming computer.

I have been looking around and was hoping someone could tell me if what i have planned would work and if it would be anygood to game on.

Processor:AMD Phenom ll *4 965
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P
RAM:Corsair 4gb CL9 DDR3
Hard Drive:Western Digital caviar TB SATAII
Graphics Card:AMD ATI Radeon HD 5870 or 5850
Case:Antec nine hundred or Antec nine hundered and two

I have never built a computer before and welcome any helpful comments and changes.

Yes, it is a good build, however I would suggest:

1) Change processor to 955 instead of 965 (they are essentially the same chip)
2) Change the RAM to G Skill CL 7 (about $104.99)
3) Change the Hard Drive to Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - it is considered the best performance HDD

Other than that, I am not too familiar with motherboards for AMD so others may recommend a different choice, but certainly in terms of compatibility it works

Switch Mobo to
ga 790 ud4 $140 w/ $15 MIR on newegg atm.

Same functionality, cheaper price.
