Hi,

I am looking to build a new Gaming/Performance PC.

Currently I have:
- 2.4 GHZ Quad Core (Q6600 I think or 6400 - whatever) Intel
- 4 Gig OCZ Ram
- XFX Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 Video
- XFX 750i MoBo
- Western Digitial 500 GB 7200 rpm HD
- Ultra 750 Watt PS
- Ultra Mid Tower Case
- Logitech G15 Gaming mouse
- Acer 22" Monitor

My Power Supply, Case, Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse are all still good and dont need to be replaced.

So what I am looking for is to change out and get a NEW:
- CPU (Intel Only) - like the x58 standard coming out
- MoBo (Want to have both the new USB 3.0 standard and the SATA 6 gb/s standard)
- RAM (to match Mobo - around the 8 Gig or more area)
- Video Card (Either AIT or Nvidia but I like Nvidia more)

At some point later I will move into getting a SSD for faster boot ups but keep the WD HD for storage.

So for the items listed above, what are my best choices for the MoBo, CPU, RAM, Video card, and MAYBE boot SSD with room for apps to keep them going fast... but all under $1000 US?

Need some advise please.

Thanks

Fill out form in sticky, link in sig.

More than 4gb of RAM for gaming is useless.

Any i7 CPU for gaming is also a waste of money, unless you want to use more than 2 GPU's. You're paying for extra threads you can't use.

What's an ultra 750w PSU? Never heard of them. Same with case.
